Priority defect resolution
Revolution Systems offers all support clients access to priority Django defect resolution service.
It's a fact that all software has bugs. We encourage our clients to run the latest official release of Django because it'll always be the most stable and bug-free version available. However, sometimes you'll still get bitten by a bug.
Because Django's open source, anyone can fix a bug. But sometimes the all-volunteer nature of open source can sometimes mean those fixes take a long time to happen.
To help provide our clients the most stable platform possible, we will fix any bugs in Django affecting our clients. We'll develop a solution and submit the fix upstream for inclusion in Django. We'll provide our clients with a custom build of Django incorporating the bug fix, and we'll support this custom build for up to a year or until the fix is available in a new official release of Django.
However, please keep in mind that because Django follows a community development model, we can't guarantee when or if directed development work will be accepted into Django. To avoid potential conflict of interest, we'll insist on following the community development process scrupulously with any directed development. This means that work we do on behalf of our clients must be reviewed by the Django development community before it gets accepted into the main source tree.
Given that, we'll do our best to only take on tasks that have a high probability of being accepted by the community.
